Talent Identification ProgramTIP is an educational program for academically gifted middle-to-high school students. As a participant in TIP as a child, I was challenged in a way that I had never been in the past. As an adult, I continue to be involved with TIP in various ways. I've worked at the summer program in various capacities, including Residential Advisor, Teaching Assistant, and Instructor, and currently serve on the National Advisory Board. In addition, I am currently working on the organizing committee of the TIP Alumni Association. This fledgling association (launched October 2001) is nationwide, and open to any alums of the summer residential programs. One fun thing about TIP is that the alums seem to show up everywhere. Guess I shouldn't have been surprised when a bunch of old TIPsters showed up at Microsoft:
