The Auckland Experience
We started our vacation in Auckland, where we spent a week seeing the sights and visiting some of Simon's school friends. Travelling with 2 little kids was quite an adventure in itself, as you can see from the sheer amount of luggage we were carrying. Yes, both those luggage carts were ours!

They really did stay awake for some of the trip. We took advantage of two napping boys to have a nice peaceful cup of coffee in Parnell.
We visited Simon's school friends Phil and Phillipa (really!) and their wonderful kids Jamie and Kelly, who had a great time playing with Tyler and Andrew. Jamie's pet budgie "Buddy" also made a big impression.
