Petting Zoo (aka Stinky Farm)
We went to this petting zoo in Christchurch, which was really a working farm. Which was interesting, but not what you expect from a petting zoo in the US ("That one'll bite ..." would get you sued pretty darned fast around here, and there were no shovels in sight...) Anyway, we all escaped with our major limbs, if not our olfactory senses, intact, though Gill did get one hell of a nasty bruise protecting Tyler from a head-butting goat. I thought it deserved its own page.

These 2-week-old piglets were SOOO CUTE! The farmer told us we could pick them up (we were in the pen with their mother, a 300-lb sow), but then cautioned us that "She don't like it if they squeal." We didn't spend too much time holding them, as you can imagine.
